City is on course to tap the potential of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road with plans for its port, Li Yang reports.
Once one of the starting ports of the ancient maritime Silk Road, Qinzhou is now an important part of China's new national project to construct a 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, an initiative proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping last year to promote trade, cooperation and connectivity with Asia and Africa.
The city is accelerating the construction of 300,000-ton shipping lines and ports, as well as other new berths and shipping routes.
